Other security screens on the market use 316 Marine grade stainless steel. Crimsafe security screens use 304 stainless steel. The reason is because 304 has a higher tensile strength than 316, which means it can resist more force applied against it and is highly effective against knife attack.
Crimsafe simply state that they use 304 Structural Grade Stainless Steel because it performs better. It takes more punishment and is more economical than all the other stainless steel varieties that Crimsafe have tested and dismissed.
